About this spot
Kemiönsaari – Ölmos is a kitesurf spot in Finland. Swimming beach in the north of Kemiönsaari with three beaches for launching; by car you get closest to the main beach. For all levels and good for learning to go upwind: if you launch from Grundudden, at worst you drift back to the main beach. Toilets and changing rooms, no kiosk.
The spot works best with wind from W, NW; the windiest period is May–Sep. The water is mostly flat. It suits beginners, intermediates and advanced riders.

Watch out for: Swimmers in summer – launch from the eastern end of the beach. Stones only at the tip of Grundudden. Adders and grass snakes on the beach (protected).
