Lemmer – IJsselmeer is a kitesurf spot in the Netherlands. According to the provincial tourist board, for more experienced kiters because the wind is unsteady. In summer many swimmers, so kiting is not always possible; permitted from October to April. Good beach for launching and landing; it gets deep quickly, short waves.
The spot works best with wind from S, SW, W; the windiest period is Oct–Apr. Expect choppy water most of the time. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
