About this spot
Pringle Bay is a kitesurf and surf spot in South Africa. Bay about 40 km from Cape Town on Clarence Drive; after a short walk you set up on the beach. S and SW are recommended; big waves are rare, with swell from W or S a right-hand break works. For all skill levels, freestyle and freeride.
The spot works best with wind from S, SW; the windiest period is Oct–Apr. Depending on the wind you get flat water, chop or waves. It suits beginners, intermediates and advanced riders.
