About this spot

Camocim – Tatajuba is a kitesurf and wingfoil spot in Brazil. The village of Tatajuba lies between Camocim (25 km) and Jericoacoara (30 km) and is only easily reached by buggy along the beach. The wind usually picks up around 11 am and blows until sunset, in high season 30 knots and more. The freshwater lagoon Lagoa da Torta in the dunes is an alternative when it blows too hard on the coast – it is gustier there. Downwinders along the coast are popular.

The spot works best with wind from E, NE; the windiest period is Jul–Jan. Expect choppy water most of the time. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
