Friedrichskoog – Spitze
Germany · Kitesurf · Windsurf · Wingfoil
About this spot
The southern tip of Dithmarschen with a grassy beach and direct Wadden Sea access – plenty of space, strong wind, few people. You rig and launch on the grass or beach and ride out on the flats. Tide-dependent: it works best about three hours before and after high water, and on the rising or falling tide the flats stay mirror-smooth even in light wind. Best wind comes from west and northwest. The spot suits kiters with Wadden Sea experience and wingfoilers looking for open space.
When is the best time to visit Friedrichskoog? Spring and autumn for the windiest conditions; summer brings warmer water but more variable wind.
