About this spot
Gran Canaria – El Burrero is a kitesurf and windsurf spot in Spain. Beach on the east coast near Ingenio; windsurfing has taken place here since the mid-1980s. Strong NE winds and waves especially in summer, completely calm in winter. Kitesurfing is becoming increasingly popular; you can ride almost anywhere along the beach.
The spot works best with wind from NE, N; the windiest period is Apr–Sep. Expect choppy water most of the time. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
