About this spot
Izola – Lighthouse Beach is a windsurf spot in Slovenia. Launching is from the beach in front of the Izola lighthouse; rigging is done on grass, and the entry is over coarse gravel. The Bora from ENE usually blows steadily sideshore from the right. From about 25 kn a small wave works around the cape north of the marina.
The spot works best with wind from NE, E (Bora); the windiest period is Oct–Apr. Expect choppy water most of the time. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
