About this spot

Langeoog offers 14 km of fine sandy beach, is car-free and lies between Baltrum and Spiekeroog in the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park. The kite and surf beach is on the North Sea side west of the HU West beach section; on the Wadden side surfing is prohibited. The Nordstrand may be ridden from three hours after sunrise. You rig and launch on the beach and ride in the North Sea surf – good sand, plenty of room, established schools (including Proboarder and Surfschule Petersen).

The main wind is W, NW and SW; in clean westerly conditions it works reliably here. Where can you kite on Langeoog? At the designated kite and surf beach on the North Sea side, not in the Watt. Everything from beginner to freestyler is catered for. Travel by ferry from Bensersiel. Season April to October.
