About this spot
Larvik – Hvittensand is a kitesurf spot in Norway. Home spot of the Vestfold Kiteklubb at the mouth of the Lågen, with a large, flat sandy beach. Set up on the sandbank; beginners use the outer side of the sandbank to the south. Park in Østre Halsen to the north or south, 7 minutes on foot along the coastal path.
The spot works best with wind from S, SW, SE; the windiest period is Apr–Oct. Depending on the wind you get flat water, chop or waves. It suits beginners and intermediates.

Watch out for: Strong current on the river side, beach constantly changing. Deep water and offshore wind on the inner side of the sandbank. Often gusty. Swimmers on fine summer days.
