About this spot
Parnaíba – Pedra do Sal is a kitesurf and surf spot in Brazil. Praia da Pedra do Sal lies around 13 km from Parnaíba towards Ilha Grande, on the eastern edge of the Delta do Parnaíba protected area. One side of the beach is calm, the other has powerful waves and a strong shorebreak. From July to December the wind blows strongly, often around 25 knots.
The spot works best with wind from E, NE; the windiest period is Jul–Dec. Depending on the swell there are waves. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
