About this spot
Ria de Aveiro – Costa Nova is a kitesurf and windsurf spot in Portugal. Flat water on the Ria de Aveiro lagoon, around 200 m from the Atlantic beach. The Riactiva water sports school in Costa Nova offers windsurf and kite lessons, rental and storage. Thanks to its regular wind, the Ria is considered an ideal place for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Alongside the long-established Clube de Vela da Costa Nova there are several kite schools in town.
