About this spot
Ringkøbing Fjord – Kloster Surfspot is a kitesurf and windsurf spot in Denmark. Spot in the north-west of Ringkøbing Fjord, access via Baggersvej off the Søndervig–Ringkøbing road. Because of the shallow water one of the most popular kite spots in the area; windsurfers find better water further south-east. Best in WNW and ESE; wind from NW through N to E is offshore. Small setup area, toilet, tables and benches.
The spot works best with wind from SE, S, SW, W; the windiest period is Apr–Oct. The water is mostly flat. It suits beginners and intermediates.
