About this spot
São Vicente – Baía das Gatas is a kitesurf spot in Cape Verde. Small natural pool sheltered by rocks with knee- to hip-deep flat water, not far from Salamansa. Considered the only permanent flat-water spot in Cape Verde. Very small – just two kites fill the pool.
The spot works best with wind from NE, N; the windiest period is Dec–Jun. The water is mostly flat. It suits beginners and intermediates.
