About this spot
Lively harbour with a fishing-cutter fleet, behind it expansive Wadden Sea flats. Between Burhave and Fedderwardersiel lies a roughly 20-hectare kite zone in the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea – the large shallow-water area makes the spot interesting for beginners too. You rig and launch on land and ride out on the flats; the wind comes in cleanly across the Jade, with good directions in west/southwest as well as north and east. Even at high water, shallow areas stay reachable.
Who is Fedderwardersiel for? Popular with surfers from Oldenburg and Bremen, good for beginners and freeriders who plan their tides. Plenty of parking, BEEKite school on site (kite, windsurf, SUP). Season April to October.
