About this spot
Laholm – Mellbystrand is a kitesurf and windsurf spot in Sweden. Very long sandy beach on Laholm Bay; cars can drive on parts of the beach. Flat water in E wind, slalom/freeride in other directions; the waves are more for jumping. Skummeslövsstrand to the south, at 12 km, is considered the longest beach in Sweden. The kite school Kite & Ting (partner of Kiteboardcenter) runs daily kite and wing lessons in summer at Mellbystrand, at Malen and at the mouth of the Lagan.
