About this spot
Naxos – Agiassos is a windsurf and surf spot in Greece. Agiassos on the south coast of Naxos has its season in the winter half-year with S to SW wind, coming side-shore to slightly side-onshore from the left. Moderate waves (mostly 1–1.5 m) break on a gently sloping sandy beach; jumps and wave riding are possible without great danger. There are small tavernas on the beach; access via a gravel road from Pyrgaki or tarmac from Sangri.
The spot works best with wind from S, SW; the windiest period is Oct–Apr. Depending on the swell there are waves. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
