About this spot

Nin – Ždrijac is a kitesurf and windsurf spot in Croatia. Ždrijac sandy beach lies on a spit opposite the old town of Nin, about 30 minutes from Zadar; the Kraljičina plaža lagoon is next door. For safety reasons part of the beach is reserved exclusively for kiters. In summer the thermal Maestral blows from the NW in the afternoon; April, May, September and October are considered the best months. A kite and windsurf centre offers lessons for beginners and advanced riders (VDWS).

The spot works best with wind from NW, NE (Bura); the windiest period is Apr–Oct. The water is mostly flat. It suits beginners, intermediates and advanced riders.
