Usedom – Peenemünde is a kitesurf, windsurf and surf spot in Germany. Spot a little outside the village towards Karlshagen, popular with locals and rarely crowded. 120 m wide standing-depth area; offshore sandbanks keep the waves small near the shore – good training for first waves. With strong NE to E, waves of around 2 m further out; works with N to SE.
The spot works best with wind from N, NE, E, SE; the windiest period is Apr–Oct. Depending on the wind you get flat water, chop or waves. It suits beginners, intermediates and advanced riders.
