The Nordsee Academy teaches on the beach at Schillig in Wangerland and at Hooksiel, in the heart of the Lower Saxon Wadden Sea of the North Sea. The large shallow-water areas are ideal for beginners, and the Hooksieler Binnentief offers a sheltered, tide-independent spot as well. That means there is a suitable place to learn whatever the conditions.
The school teaches windsurfing, kitesurfing, SUP and landboarding, from beginner and intermediate courses through 5-day camps to taster sessions. The academy is run by Chris Wezel and Niko Goretzki and has been going for around 20 years. Lessons use PATRIK windsurf gear and follow the VDWS standard with the QAW seal.
