About this spot
Dierhagen – Beach (access 23–24) is a kitesurf, windsurf and surf spot in Germany. At the entrance to the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula between the Saaler Bodden and the Baltic Sea. On the sea side, kiters may only go on the water along about 200 m between beach access points 23 and 24; kiting is not allowed on the Bodden side. No groynes, so also suitable for wave beginners; works with W to NE. Small surf school at beach access 17, car parks more than 500 m away.
The spot works best with wind from W, NW, N, NE; the windiest period is Apr–Oct. Depending on the swell there are waves. It suits intermediates and advanced riders.
